Objective:

  • To raise awareness about the processes involved in community radio licensing, management and operations

  • To showcase different models/experiences of CR in South Asia and contextualise it to the Indian context

  • Highlight the various aspects of programming, operation and management of community radio.

This will be the precursor to a series of regional workshops designed to spread awareness of community radio and to encourage community groups to set up CR stations.

Who can attend?

  • Community based organisations interested in setting up community radio stations (CRS).

  • State Agricultural Universities

  • Krishi Vigyan Kendras

  • Established Campus Community Radio Stations

  • National and International NGO’s/ Bilateral agencies who will support the CR movement in India

Organisations actively involved in the initial stages of preparedness are preferable.
