CHARCA Endline Study In view of the closure of
CHARCA project on 31st Oct 2007, an end line evaluation was conducted by
an independent agency – International Institute for Population Studies (IIPS),
Mumbai in five CHARCA districts. The project was implemented is six
districts- Aizawl (Mizoram), Bellary (Karnataka), Guntur (Andhra
Pradesh), Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Kishanganj (Bihar) and Udaipur
(Rajasthan). In 2004, a baseline study was conducted in five districts
namely Aizawl, Bellary, Guntur, Kanpur and Kishanganj by IIPS, Mumbai.
In Udaipur a separate baseline study was conducted as a part of IPD
intervention. Therefore the end line evaluation has also been conducted

Mission Ustaad
The United
Nations and Endemol India (producer of reality shows such as Big Boss
and Laughter Challenge) have joined hands to produce a music reality
show called 'Mission Ustaad'. The
programme will be telecast on 9X, a general entertainment channel from
1st December 2007. The purpose of the programme is to bring attention
