Affected Districts - 31 out of 32 districts
Affected Population – 330 lakh (33 million out of 54 million)
Affected Cattle Population - 40 million (approx)
Affected Cropped Area - 89.47 lakh h.a.
Estimated loss of agricultural production
Foodgrains, loss of 12.10 lakh tonnes
Oilseeds, loss of 2.04 lakh tonnes

48 yet to be handed over to the State Government
Central Relief Fund (CRF) - Rs 168.18 crores released earlier under CRF. This is Rs. 12.93 crores more than the Central share for 2000-2001

Districts with deficient rainfall or facing drought like situation in Rajasthan as given by the State include Ajmer, Alwar, Banswara, Baran, Barmer, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Bundi, Chittore, Churu, Dausa, Dungarpur, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Karauli, Kota, Nagaur, Pali, Rajsamand, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Sirohi, Tonk, and Udaipur.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Drought data on villages: The Government of Rajasthan has announced on 27 November 2000 that following districts along with the number of villages stated against each district are declared as scarcity affected areas.
